Callichthyidae · Rio Araguaia basin, Goiás, Brazil · C065

These are my own captive-bred juveniles, produced from a breeding group sourced from Aquarium Glaser. They are bred and raised here in a dedicated fishroom and accustomed to aquarium conditions and prepared foods.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Hoplisoma eversi, long known in the hobby as C065 or the Guaraná Cory, is a distinctive and infrequently available species from a remarkably restricted known locality in central Brazil.

The species has an unusual connection to the aquarium hobby: Hans-Georg Evers collected the fish that formed the foundation of the aquarium population and later provided specimens used in its formal scientific description. The species was named eversi in his honor.

Like other Hoplisoma, this is a social species and should be maintained in a proper group. Fine sand, clean, well-oxygenated water, and a varied diet of quality sinking foods with frozen or live offerings will show them at their best.

Offered in groups of six or nine. For a species this special, a larger group is spectacular — contact me if you're interested in 15+.

Ethically bred. Rarely available.
