First photo is of breeding male.
These are my own captive-bred juveniles from a breeding group acquired from longtime L-number breeder Marcel Wuethrich. They are raised here in a dedicated fishroom and accustomed to aquarium conditions and prepared foods.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
L136 is a small, still-undescribed Hypancistrus known in the hobby as the Demini Angelicus Pleco. L136C is the large-spotted form: dark-bodied fish with fewer, larger pearl-white spots than the more commonly encountered L136A and L136B forms.
A peaceful, cave-spawning pleco that does best in mature, clean, well-oxygenated water with plenty of structure and hiding places. Feed a varied diet centered on quality sinking foods with appropriately sized frozen or live foods offered regularly.
Because the L136 forms are naturally variable, individual patterning will vary. Juveniles will develop their permanent spot size and pattern over time.
Ethically bred. Occasionally available.
